My husband Joe & I started All American Portable Restrooms on February 1, 2011, as a sole
proprietorship. We became an LLC with me as the single member on January 1, 2023. The Company is
debt-free and a turnkey, highly profitable business. All American Portable Restrooms LLC has a proven revenue stream, efficient operations and strong customer retention (over 2500 customers).
Back in 2011, we started from scratch with a $20,000 loan and a 1993 Ford F350 truck. We purchased 16 used porta potties & a new slide in tank. Our goal was simple: to make a living being our own boss and provide clean & regularly serviced porta potties for the construction industry in our area. We intended to only operate by ourselves, with no employees. Today, we rent out only as many construction units as we can service weekly (150 units). We have 50 more assorted restrooms for events.
After having served in the Army, Joe transitioned to working in the construction & building trades (both commercial & residential). When we started All American Portable Restrooms, Joe said, “We will do it better!" We never intended to become the biggest or cheapest business. We did, however, intend to be the best! We take great pride in keeping our potties in tip top shape, spending more time cleaning them than any other company & working late to make sure contractors get their toilets on the job when they need them.
We value our high reputation & are often complimented to have the cleanest porta potties used by contractors. We were the first in our area to offer Hand Wash Stations & include free hand sanitizer in all restrooms.
We work as a team, driving one truck on daily routes together, this includes pick-ups, cleaning and deliveries. We pump, wash & towel dry every construction restroom weekly, hence our “Stellar
Reputation”. We also take time to visit with our customers when given the opportunity. I (Sue),
maintain the books, do the billing, office work, answer the phone, deal with customers, set
routes & I have sent a thank you card to new customers. We have over 2500 customers since 2011. We are always available by phone or text. Joe maintains & repairs the equipment, prepares the trucks & potties for delivery, tracks inventory, does all the heavy lifting & yells at anyone who would dare to scratch a porta potty.
As we approach our 15th year in business, our customer base has grown large, we have a lengthy waiting list and we reluctantly turn down many jobs in our area due to lack of time. We purposely put the brakes on our company’s growth so as to maintain our high-quality service, which far exceeds the industry standard. There is an urgent need in this community to grow locally & extend service into neighboring areas. The housing & commercial communities are expanding, and the growth potential is uncapped. The building boom is a rare opportunity for a new & motivated owner to take advantage of a rapidly expanding population. Routes are normally a 1-person job. We have 2 trucks well maintained & ready to go for daily route driving. Having two trucks provides the opportunity to run 2 routes concurrently in different areas, generating twice the revenue.
Our hope is to transfer this business to someone who shares our high standards of service & integrity and takes pride in helping their community grow. At the same time help we hope to dispel & improve upon the negative image of “Porta Potty”.
